Analog Board Obsolescence and Retrofit Opportunities
Over the past 40 years that AMETEK has manufactured gas analyzers, we have always done an excellent job supporting the analyzers we manufacture. In fact, none of our competitors have come close to the commitment we demonstrate.
Unfortunately, there are sources of supply for components that are totally outside of our control. This primarily deals with electronic components.
Analyzers that are 12 to 25 years old have or will soon have spare parts availability problems. If it were within our power, you can rest assured that this type of situation would not occur.
AMETEK Process Instruments is obligated to help you plan for this transition by helping you assess your current situation and make recommendations regarding retrofit and analyzer replacement opportunities. This way you can address the pending obsolescence of spare parts in a cost-effective manner.
By taking advantage of the available options offered for the latest generation of control electronics that were not available on analog or first generation micro-based systems, upgrading will help you achieve the highest return on asset. New features/options include remote auto calibration, smart protocols, improved graphical user interface, improved sensor technology, multi-component analysis, expanded diagnostics and the web-enabled remote service capibilities.
